Congrès Mondial sur le Bégaiement et le Bredouillement

L’IFA (International Fluency Association / Association Internationale de Fluence) se nomme désormais the World Stuttering and Cluttering Organization (WSCO), Organisation mondiale sur le Bégaiement et le Bredouillement.
Le Congrès mondial aura lieu du 15 au 19 mai 2024 aux Etats-Unis, à Austin (Texas).
Des intervenants de premier plan et mondialement connus, sont attendus lors de ce Congrès international : tels que les Docteurs Shelly Jo KRAFT, Chris CONSTANTINO, Rubèn PARRA-CARDONA, Kia Noelle JOHNSON, et Patricia ZEBROWSKI.
Ce Colloque a pour ambition de mettre en lumière les fondements biologiques du bégaiement, vivre avec un bredouillement ou un bégaiement, dans sa diversité culturelle et linguistique et de résilience. Ces thématiques seront largement abordées lors de ce grand rendez-vous.
Appel à contribution
Le comité d’organisation du WSCO invite les membres à soumettre leurs propositions de travaux recherches scientifiques et médicaux (approche clinique) pour le Congrès mondial 2024 sur le bégaiement et le bredouillement. Les participants sont invités à partager et à diffuser cet événement auprès de leurs collègues, des étudiants en Orthophonie, auprès des personnes qui bégaient ou qui bredouillent.

Les conditions de soumission
Les posters de présentation de travaux, les présentations orales de 30minutes, les séminaires d’une durée de 1 heure, les discussions d’1 heure sur la recherche en table-rondes, et des ateliers pré- ou post-congrès sont des formats autorisés.
Les communications présentées au colloque et retenues par le comité scientifique pourront contribuer aux travaux de recherche actuels.

N.B : Il est porté à la connaissance des participants que les frais de déplacement sont à la charge des participants. L’hébergement des participants étrangers et la restauration sont à la charge du colloque.

The World Stuttering and Cluttering Organization (WSCO) Congress Planning Committee
is excited to announce the 2024 World Congress on Stuttering and Cluttering, which will take place May 15-19th, 2024 in Austin, Texas, USA.
Keynote speakers
We have confirmed an excellent lineup of keynote speakers, including Drs. Shelly Jo Kraft, Chris Constantino, Rubén Parra-Cardona, Kia Noelle Johnson, and Patricia Zebrowski. Keynote topics broadly span the biological bases of stuttering, the experience of stuttering and cluttering openly, cultural and linguistic diversity, and resilience.
Call for papers
The committee invites WSCO members to submit clinical and research proposals for the 2024 World Congress on Stuttering and Cluttering, and we encourage members to share this opportunity with colleagues, students, and members of the stuttering and cluttering communities. You can access the Congress page and link to submit on the new WSCO website at www.thewsco.org/congress. Proposals for poster presentations, 30-minute oral technical presentations, 1-hour oral seminar presentations, 1-hour research roundtable discussions, 1-hour community roundtable discussions, and pre- or post-conference workshops will be considered.
Student financial support
Financial support from the US NIH-NIDCD will likely be available to students and junior researchers to attend the 2024 World Congress on Stuttering and Cluttering in Austin, Texas.
Official announcements and application information will be sent no later than the first week of January 2024. Please note that people who receive financial support are required to a) be WSCO members, b) attend the whole Congress, and c) have an accepted presentation. Those who receive support from the NIH-NIDCD conference grant (pending) MUST attend the two sponsored congress sessions on improving grantsmanship and publication skills. This funding opportunity is open to both US and international students. It is appreciated if bursary recipients consider joining a WSCO committee. Committee roles are voluntary and involve participation in email discussions and Zoom meetings to further the work of the WSCO.
